Privacy Policy
Vantix is a media player. It does not provide, host or sell any channels, films, series or playlists, and it does not ask for your name, email address or phone number. It uses an anonymous Device ID. The app shows no advertising and contains no advertising SDK.
1. What Vantix is
Vantix plays the content that you bring yourself: an M3U playlist, an Xtream Codes account or a local file. We have no access to what you watch and no relationship with your provider. You are responsible for making sure that the sources you add are ones you own or are authorized to use.
2. What we collect
- Anonymous Device ID. The app creates a random code of the form
VNTX-XXXX-XXXX. It is sent to our server to check your trial or licence status. It is not linked to your name, email, phone number or any account. - Purchase verification (Amazon Fire TV and Apple only). The Google Play version of Vantix is free and has no purchases, so it sends no billing information at all. On Amazon Fire TV and on Apple devices (when they are available), an in-app purchase is processed directly by Amazon or Apple. Vantix never sees your card or payment details. Only the purchase receipt is sent to our server, and only to confirm that the purchase is genuine: on Amazon that is the receipt ID and your Amazon app user ID, which our server checks with Amazon; on Apple it is a transaction signed by Apple, which our server checks against Apple’s certificates. We keep only the result: the plan you bought, when it expires, and a reference to the purchase (for Amazon, a one-way hash of your Amazon ID, never the ID itself). It is not linked to your name or email.
- Cloud Sync (optional). If you choose “Backup to Cloud”, your favourites, watch history, playback positions and display settings are stored against your Device ID and protected by a sync code that only you hold. Your playlist addresses, usernames and passwords are never uploaded.
3. What we do not collect
- No payment card, billing or store account details. Purchases are processed by Amazon or Apple, and Google Play has none.
- No analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs. The app does not read your Android advertising ID.
- No names, email addresses, phone numbers or contacts, and no location.
- No record of the channels or titles you watch, other than the optional Cloud Sync backup above.
4. Data kept on your device
Your accounts, playlists, favourites, history and settings are stored on your device. Provider credentials are kept in the device’s secure storage. Removing the app deletes them.
5. Third-party services
- Your provider. The app connects directly to the servers you configure. Their privacy practices are theirs.
- TMDb. Posters and descriptions may come from The Movie Database. This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb. See themoviedb.org.
- OpenSubtitles. If you search for subtitles, the title being searched is sent to that service.
- Google Play, Amazon Appstore and Apple App Store. Installs and updates are handled by the store you downloaded Vantix from, under that store’s own terms and privacy policy. On Amazon Fire TV and Apple devices the store also processes in-app purchases, subscriptions and refunds.
6. Retention and deletion
A Device ID and its licence record are kept for as long as the licence is needed. A Cloud Sync backup stays until it is overwritten. To have your Device ID record and any backup deleted, email us from the address below with your Device ID (shown in the app under Profile).
7. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Sync codes are stored only as one-way hashes, and repeated wrong codes lock a backup temporarily. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Vantix is a general-purpose media player and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, and the app shows no advertising to anyone.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new effective date.
10. This website
vantix.tv keeps a simple count of its own visits so we can see which pages are read and how people arrive, including from search engines and AI assistants. Each page view sends one small note to our server with the page, the site that referred the visit (its host name only), any utm_source, utm_medium or q value in the link, the passage of the page the link jumped to, and the country (when our network provider supplies it). It does not store your IP address or user agent, sets no cookie, uses no browser storage or ID, and loads no third-party script. (It only checks for one flag that our own admin dashboard sets, so that our visits are left out of the count. Nothing on the public site writes it.) Because it keeps no personal data and builds no profile, it counts every visit, including those from browsers that send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. These notes are deleted after 180 days. Server logs kept by our host may record IP addresses for security, as with any website.
